WHO ARE WE?
The Be Perfect Foundation (BP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) with a mission to provide direct financial and emotional aid to individuals living with paralysis. Be Perfect has changed the lives of hundreds of fathers, mothers, siblings, and friends with paralysis by keeping them in recovery, purchasing medical necessities, and providing guidance and emotional support.

WHAT DO WE DO?
Be Perfect promotes a holistic, exercise-based therapy approach to recovery for those living with paralysis. Be Perfect offers scholarships for activity-based therapy at places like The Perfect Step in Claremont, to qualified recipients. We also provide supplemental funds to those who cannot afford wheelchairs, car/home adaptations, outstanding medical bills, and general daily medical necessities.

WHY DO WE DO IT?
Be Perfect strives to live in a world where paralysis does not financially burden families to the point of emotional turmoil and physical distress–where a lack of both hope and resources does not exist. Be Perfect aims to do a small part in the lives of many by helping where insurance companies cannot.

HOW IS BP DIFFERENT FROM OTHER ORGANIZATIONS?
With so many other foundations raising money for what the future may hold, BP aims to fill the void in those lives living with paralysis. There is no telling how medical advancements will come to fruition and if a cure will ever happen. Thus, BP aims for those living with paralysis to live a healthy and active lifestyle to while keeping them out of the hospital and reducing their chances of secondary complications. Be Perfect is one of the only foundations in the U.S. helping those who heal at this capacity, while doing it truthfully and ethically, out of respect to its generous supporters.

HOW HAVE WE MADE A DIFFERENCE?
More than 15 years post inception, BP has raised over $8,000,000 for those living with paralysis.  Be Perfect has supported over 350 individuals and families with therapy expenses, more than 100 people buy wheelchairs, helped several with adaptations of homes and cars, has helped several with coverage of outstanding medical bills and has provided resources of hope and knowledge to thousands.
